We paddle at the Wokey Centre on Wednesdays at 2.00 and on Saturdays at 12.00 we also have a pool session at Leighton Park School Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm.
***Everybody is Inbetween Swims***
On Monday 30th August, 1530 local time (approx) after 2 and half years of being swim free; Charlie swam on Itanda Falls.
Not paddling far enough right he was heading for " The Cuban" and plugged the hole going straight through it. Rolling up realised he was heading straight for "The Ashtray" and attempted to plug it again. Although almost getting through the hole, the tow back dragged him back into the hole, resulting in a beating and a swim.
Luckily pushing out of the boat and tucking up, he managed to get out of the hole, and luckier still managed to end up to the left of "The Bad Place" but unfortunately smashed against some rocks.
(I thought this message hadn't been changed in a while so i thought i'd do it...)
but I hope this message teaches you 3 things
a) The Committee should be made Admins so they can change this
b) You are inbetween swims
c) Although Intunda Falls will likely still be there after the Damn is built, some awesome rapids will be lost... so get to Uganda soon
